In a saucepan, heat a teaspoon of virgin olive oil and add some red onions and around 4 minced garlic cloves for a few minutes until they are soft. Once they are soft, add one can of crushed tomatoes and a can of diced tomatoes to the saucepan. Mix in one teaspoon of dried oregano and one teaspoon of dried basil. Also, add in half a teaspoon of ground fennel and a pinch of red pepper. Season with salt and pepper, depending on your taste. Cover your pot and let it cook at low heat for around 20 minutes. Taste and add more seasoning if needed. That’s it, you made your own Marinara sauce.
